Has the +2002 Range Rover uses the same auto gearbox X5 use???
on the clock. He his shocked, and dealer wants 10.000 euros to fix it with a remanufacter unit.So if this car uses the same gearbox of the X5 3.0L or 3.0D I will try to help him find a used auto gearbox for his car. Anybody here knows if the gearbox is the same? Thnaks in advance. J.Seven |

The auto tranny (and maybe even the engine) are the same as the X5 I believe. However, I question just taking an automatic off an X5 and assuming everything lines up in a Range Rover. I may be wrong though.
And yes, automatics are expensive, but I've read (for BMWs at least) it's better to use the dealer in this case. I don't know/haven't read about any successes using a random aftermarket installer for the automatic. |
