Hey all, thanks much for the responses and advice!!

I rechecked my records and I am inflating to 36 PSI (cold) F+R. I feel the minimal loss in ride quality will more than be made up with better fuel economy and tire life (unless this is contributing to my situation ).

So, some of you feel this is "normal" wear and noise?? When I run my hand over the outside edge of the front tires, you can clearly feel the cupping. Remember these tires only have approx. 10K on them.

Again thanks and look forward to futher input/suggestion!!

SG; thanks for the compliments on the user name/avatar!!

Something's not right - as I've posted before, both my '01 & '06 are running 32psi and at 20K each, I've noticed no unusual wear and anticipate getting +40K - In fact I believe the '01 tires actually have +26K on them(bought used) - It might be time for a full 4-wheel alignment and/or a full inspection of the suspension(that's what solved the same problem I experienced with my GMC Savana van)

Mr. Incredible....my 2 cents worth.....I think you need an alignment, preferably 4-wheel.

I'm a hard/spirited driver in my '05 4.4i. Got 40K on first set of Diamaris and Goodyear replaced with same. Cupping got bad (with associated noise) at 15-20K and I went back to them blaming their alignment. My understanding is that cupping is an alignment problem and it won't get better. Because I got half the life of the original set, they replaced at half price and credited their alignment charge to the BMW dealer's charge for a 4 wheel alignment. I was fortunate there. That set was installed and alignment done at 60K with perfect performance and even wear for 40K and now ready for next set.
