Boston Auto Show a Waste!!!

Went to the Boston Auto Show Sat. looking forward to checking out the redesigned 07 X5. Guess what? They had an 06 (now history) on display. The floorguy stated something like they were waiting for the LA Show for its unveiling. I say, if you're having a show, spending $10 to get in and $13 to park, take off the f-----g burka!!

Sorry about that, but it has been posted numerous time that the world debut of the 2007 E70 X5 will be at the LA Auto Show.

Don't worry, I am sure others and myself will be there to take plenty of pics for you guys!!

Rickig,

It does seem strange to show a model that isn't even made any more, but was the rest of the show worth the outlay?

Kewl,

When is the LA Show?

Don

The Washington DC auto show is nice each year. Look forward to seeing the E70 then. My favorite thing to do is to take one of my CDs and pop it in various cars' audio systems if the battery is hooked up. Then I can test the ease of use and quality of sound system.

My first experience with iDrive was done in a 525i a couple years ago. I found it really intuitive to select track, adjust tone, etc... from the first try, and have had a favorable impression ever since. Then I stepped in an Audi A6 with the MMI and threw a fit trying to learn to use it (too many buttons). Oh and to make it more interesting, the system decided to randomly shut down on me. Thanks Audi

Our dealer near by is having a "E70 Party" at the end of November...should be cool.

I had fun at the Boston show. I was disappointed not to see an E70, but I wasn't expecting it to be there. The X5 they had on display was nothing out of the ordinary, a 3.0i with a few options. I guess they're just trying to move the last of the E53s off the lots. The updated X3 was there, and it's an improvement. It's got angel eyes to complete the look, and the new interior is WAY better. I sat in the new 3 coupe, and I sat in my first E90 actually. Very nice, of course. I loved the Audi Q7... I looked at the '07 A4 and C-Class too. I actually really liked the C280 I sat in. I wasn't expecting much, but it seemed very nice. They had the new Infiniti G35 there, but it wasn't unlocked. It looks a million times better than the last generation model.
