auto folding side mirrors

want to know if someone can advise the parts needed to install the automatic folding side mirrors on an 04 X5? I know most rides would have had this factory installed item come as standard or option. Unfortunately, mine did not come with this function and would like to add it on.

if someone has done it before, please advise part nos and the costs of doing this mod.

Thanks in advance,
Kelvin

Check www.ebay.com. You might luck out and find a set of used ones out there. If you want new, try one of the BMW dealers which forum members had a good experience with... i.e. http://www.crevierbmw.com/parts_center.htm

thanks exdozzit......i have sent an enquiry to Joe at Crevier. Hope they come back. My dealer here quoted me US$2700 for the parts and install! what a rip off! I hope crevier will have a better deal. nothing on ebay now.
Cheers....

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
I have the folding mirrors but would love to fold them at speeds above 5 MPH and would like them to auto fold once you take the key out and lock the car.

Does anyone know if and how this can be done?
