No mods will void the warranty unless they can prove that what you did caused the issue. For instance, if you put the HRE's on, they couldn't void that warranty on the radio, however, if you bring it in for suspension issues, they might say something. But, then you can always change back to the stock wheels before taking it in.

Unless you installed 24" chrome plated, cast wheels that weighed more than the heaviest offering from BMW, it is inconceivable that your dealer could give you a hard time about warranty issues. Since HRE wheels are hubcentric, top quality, and generally lighter than stock wheels, you should be able to show up with them installed and have no worries.

(Other than the dealer scratching them! On second thought, put the 18" wheels back!)

Hey David - Welcome to X5 World! It's great to see you in here. I used to hang out on RoadFly's E39 board back when you were a regular poster and I always enjoyed reading your well-written and informative posts. Again, welcome!

Mike

Thanks! I've been reading posts here for a very long time, but was startled to see that this was my first post here. I could have sworn I had posted before, but I guess not.

Still have my E39!
