I know on the E60 i had, the trick for this is to put the light swich to the parking light position (the one, one click to the right from 0) and that will leave your daytimes on with the rings on as well while you are driving, the inner ring won't be as noticable because of the fact that the daytimes are on but, the outer rings you will see just fine. Also you can turn the fogs on and off to give some aditional light output as well, and it also looks more agressive that way too
. EDIT: just noticed that you are in Jersey, if you don't have daytime running lights down there (donno if you do or not) the above instructions are the same, just that the center lights won't turn on when you are driving, making just the rings become more noticable. Also when the car is parked yes you are right they can be let on, by keeping the swich in the same position, just remember to turn them off as they will not turn off by them selves. I forgot once and luckly the lights didn't draw much power cause my battery was almost dead, this was after about 8hrs left on too

The AE's can also be wired to your dome light.
When you disarm your car the AE's go on. They also stay on after you exit the vehicle for 30-60 seconds or till you lock your car. Jlevis sells an additional wire harness for this with his AE's. Works fine. |

If you wire them to your dome light then everytime you dome light comes on (as in open the doors etc... even with the key not in the ignition) the angel eyes come on?
I was looking for something that when I disarm the vehicle as I am walking up to it that the angel eyes light up until I get in and start it up.... Wonder if that is possible. Curtis Quote:

Yes and no.
#1 You could take out the bulbs or temp cut the wire for the DRL, however, you will get a "check headlight" on the dash all the time. #2 You could also find the control module for the DRL's and diode isolate a constant ground to the parking brake wire. #3 Swap your DRL module with a 1999 US model if possible. The second option is the proper way to do it but there is going to be more involved once you start doing it. |
