Tire pressure monitors for your winters?
The tire pressure monitor light is a really simple system, as you know, that simply compares RPM's left to right and decides a tire is low if it consistently revolves more. The question is, if you do not put the sensors on your winters does the light stay on all the time or can you defeat the feature entirely? Or better yet, where can I get a generic sensor valve for low $ and then I will just install them? TIA |

The TPM that calculates wheel speed does not have separate sensors, it uses the ABS sensors. The tire pressure monitor that measures air pressure in each tire uses sensors.
