Did you ever figure this out? Also do you have sport seats by chance? I am guessing this might be more of an issue for them than the regular seats? Just an idea.

I thought if I had time this weekend I could just spray some WD40 on some springs and hope for the best.

I have the regular seat. I had my dealer looked at it again 2 months ago. They found a broken trim piece clicking on the seat frame. So they replaced the trim for the seat switch panel. All was well for about 2 days and the "clicking" noise is back. I'll have to bring it up again next month when I'm there for my oil change.

I think I have given up for now. Some day I will take the seat apart and clean it thoroughly.

Well...after leaving my car in the hands of my dealer for over a week, they claimed to have fixed it (hopefully, this third time is a charm). So far, so good. I have to give some props to Crevier BMW for being so persistent at it, calling me daily providing updates.

A snippet of the tech’s note: “Remove driver’s seat. Completely disassemble seat down to stripped frame. Inspect, able to duplicate noise with seat out of car on bench. Noise coming from seat frame pivot joint between bottom cushion frame and seat sled. Separate two pieces and inspect. Found plastic rubber tube bushing has come off of attachment point causing metal to metal contact and noise. Repair seat frame and lube all contacting joints and pivots. Reassemble seat and test drive with service advisor. Noise is fixed after repair. Erase fault codes for airbag.”

Thumbs down I have the dreaded SQUEEK too!

I also have the driver's seat SQUEEK in my 2003 4.6L with sport seats (black with silver alcantera).

I have a service appointment for next week (to take care of a whole slew of issues!) and the seat squeek is on my list. I find it absolutely unacceptable for the seat to be squeeking each time I get in/out or take a corner or just shift my weight. Very annoying!
