Thanks but I dont have a sunroof!! Plus its only damp on the left rear passanger footwell. I think it may be the rubber seal the runs along the bottom of the door. At the very end of the seal it was not clipped in to the door, plus it was pused up to the inside, it may be that water has got in that way. So I clipped the seal back into its original place. Just got to dry the footwell now and see if that works.

Well I had another look at the carpet. I removed lifted the carpet up and its absolutely soaking wet underneath. I would say there are at least 3pints of water soaked into the carpet. I could squeeze the water out!!!!! I'm real disappointed to think that a vehicle that cost £60,000++ here can have a fault like this. Anyway my next action will be to dry it out someway. I have squeezed what I can out, and soaked up all the water on the floor panel. Just wondering now whats the best way to dry it out completely? Leave the doors open and let natural air at it or keep it closed and leave the hot air blasting for a few hours??

I think you might be better off leaving the windows and possibly having a fan air the interior out ... I think if you leave all the windows up and shut the doors with the heat on high, you might have a stink in the car afterwards ... let us know how it turns out!

Well I left the X outside all day yesterday, last nite and today with both rear doors open, and the carpet raised up to let the natural air dry it out, plus freshed it too, and it seems to have done a great job! I'm going to give it another day and nite just to have it totally dried out. Then keep a close eye on it, to see if the fix I did on the rubber seal was the problem.

I am exeriencing the same problem. One day I noticed a water stream dampening my middle rear carpet as it might have trickling from under the center console. If anyone finds out what the cause is PLEASE POST! So many times my rear carpet is flooded. This SUCKS!

Ok heres an update, good and bad!! The good part is I fixed the leek in the passanger compartment. The cause was the rubber seal at the bottom of the door was not secured correctly into place, so I fixed it and used some extra sealent and all is good so far.
The bad part is, I found 2 more leeks in the X!!! 1 is coming from the tail light and leeking into the right rear hatch in the trunk, the other is coming from the water drain pipe in the petrol hatch, and also leeking water into the same compartment. The pipe runs inside the body and then back outside again. It doesnt look like the pipe is damaged or has a hole, it looks more like the pipe is not sealed or a snug enough fit where it seal's into the body and leeking around the rim. I cant believe that with only 11,000miles on my X that these problems are appearing!
