I am taking a trip to california this weekend, and I have my radar detector set under the rear view on the windshield. Should I not do this then??

Here is what the law says:

Quote:
Article 26708. (a) (1) No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any object or material placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied upon the windshield or side or rear windows.
I see plenty of cars with gps, radars, and notepads stuck to their windshield with suckers. The reality is that a cop will NOT stop you for it, NOR give you a parking ticket. I see tons of Five-O here and I have never been stopped. However, if you get pulled over for speeding or another violation, they may tack on an extra fine. Discretely rip it down as you pull the car over...

Mine was a 06/2004 model. It'll be written on the lens "adaptive xenon". Not sure when the cut over date was.
