rpms moving when in park? UPDATE: VIBRATION WORSE

I have a 2006 4.4 with 3,000 miles on it. I just noticed that when in park or when my foot is on the break the rpms are moving enough to feel a vibration and even vibrates enough to shake the bottled water that is in the cup holder. Is this normal? Should I bring her in to the stealer?
TIA

Depends on when this occurs? 2 min after leaving my house it feels like i have a vibrating drivers seat which also comes thru the steering wheel, but it goes away as if some sort of motor is running until it stops. Never have been able to duplicate the condition at the dealer. Oh well.

I don't remember it happening in my '06 - I'll look for it, but at 20k (yes, 20k already since April 14) I can't say mine's new

I have an 06' and in early warm up revs are higher. Should get better with warm up. If not, might need serivce for idle set. What no. revs do you get with brake on?

I had a similar experience happen to me on my X. It was in Jan 05. It had about a 1000 miles on it and I went to start it one morning (it was cold but not freezing) and the idles seemed normal but then I started to hear the car rev ( it went to about 2500 rpm) by itself. It was in park and I wasnt even touching the accelerator or the brakes. I turned the car off and started it again and the temperature needle went all the way to hot. I shut it down and the started it again, everything was back to normal. I havent had that happen since. I guess it was some sort of a glitch.

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
I get a vibration when stopped at a light with ac off. It seems to happen when its coll out but maybe its just because the compressor is off?

My guess is that engine does not like to idle that low. I took it to the dealer and it was fine for a few days and then came back.

What do you want for $50,000 and engine that vibrates and and transmission that does not know when to do shift. I hear that a new/reprogram for the trans is now available but not sure about a fix for the engine other than turning on the a/c.

Hmmm. I wonder if the reason I started to notice this is because I have not used the air conditioning this week because it is getting colder.

I drove in my sister-in-laws 2003 3.0 today and she never had this problem, we were thinking maybe because I have the 4.4 and the bigger engine just does that.

If it continues to happen I guess I will bring it in, but am trying to avoid that because my schedule is just too tight during the week.

Thanks

It actually doesn't occur right away. Usually after driving for a couple of minutes. The vibration comes through the stearing wheel and both seats too! If you turn the radio off you can actually hear it pretty loud.

Mine is no where near that severe. It only happen now and then and you can't hear it so maybe you got something else going on.
