Sorry to here that! I have a bunch of scratches on my X. My bumper is even crooked from when I backed into a pole. This one bugs me the mos, cuase it is sort of noticeable. I have a long surface scratch, mayb about 12 inches on the passenger door, which I made worse when I tried to take it off. I also have scratches behind the rear passenger door. And funny enough, I also have scratches on the roof, from where I put the coffee mug when opening the door. I have gotten a few estimates for the repairs and it would end up being a few thousand dollars, at least 2. Instead I spent money on mods.

That will help. But dont get too hung up over it. Funny thing about my X is that the outside is all banged up, but my inside is perfect. I am real neat freak when it comes to the interior.

I see you are from the city that never sleeps-- I am also in Las Vegas. Who is your friend that does body work. Is it a shop, because maybe ill see if they will give me a good estimate.

its not a shop, he works for a dealership and gets his own little things done as favors, however i can recommend a bodyshop to you, its called Cheers Auto Body in brooklyn. They do great work

it's actually kind of nice to hear that other people are as crazy about scratches and dings as i am...and don't always fix them.

never had any dings (thankfully) on the rest of the car but regularly driving in NYC has given my rear bumper some scratches (from me, yes, but also from other parallel parkers...!)

$1000 for the bumper cover, and that doesn't include actual structural bumper damage (which i'm pretty sure there isn't)...crazy

that looks like a surface scratch, try using a compound like GS27 or something like that and most of it should come out.
