Need advice: headlights aiming too low

Didn't notice it til I was driving in the pitch black of New Mexico roads out in the middle of no-where but my headlights are all of a sudden aiming really low. Makes for a white knuckle drive at 80 mph. Slowed down enough to be able distinguish tumbleweed from deer though

Not sure if this coincides with the dealer changin out my front CV boots or not since I never really noticed this at all in the in the city. Just to check I parked it up against the wall in the garage and sure enough, I did see both lights 'blink' but both still aim low so I don't think its a problem with the leveling motors. Rather I think its the autolevel sensor. Anyone have any experience with this type of issue? I found a post a while back that said the autolevel sensor was mounted to the front sway bar. Is there an adjustment screw on it or is it more complex than that?

Any advice you all could provide would be most appreciated!

Sensors are mounted both front and rear. Adjust the headlights using the adjusters on the rear of the units.

That exact thing happened to me after the dealer installed new CV boots on my X5. The headlight level sensor was out of adjustment. It was fixed quickly with another trip to the dealer. The sensor is visible attached to the front sway bar on the right. If your feeling handy, the sensor is clamped to the sway bar and can be adjusted if you loosen the clamp.
