"Between the Lines"

David-Bringing back some memories, they had the report on The Santa Snowball incident that took place at Franklin Field while I was in college.
They interviewed Santa 38 years later and made for an interesting story.
Besides Franklin Field being a cozy place to watch football games, Penn also
had the Palestra on campus for Big 5 basketball games. Both facilities had
plaques and photos from the early college teams of the 1900's which made for
interesting strolls through the buildings.

DrFred,
Yes an exc story...I got to CherryHill in '75, and although I worked outta the City
and, went north of the Philly area in the early '80s, I still got addicted to the damn Beags.

That snowball deal was passed down, as we used to throw them in the rare late season
snowy games at the Vet, circa '78-'82. We/the crowd, would boo Santa and boo about
anyone that was a cheap target; in 50 years of attending sports games in stadiums,
I have never seen a crowd like the PhilaDelPhia "fans". They would boo their mothers
if they dropped passes or gave up a goal.

Hope ya'll doing fine in the great upper NY, Doc!
