How eazy is it to install an OEM phone kit into a BMW X5 4.4

Hello, I was just thinking if its possible to put in an OEM phone kit into my car. The speaker and Mic is already in the car is it just a cradle swap?

It's not too hard. There are several retrofit examples here on this page - http://www.xoutpost.com/bluetooth.php

How can you tell?

How can you tell if your car already has the wiring around it?

Also how do you pop out the cradle to have a look underneeth it?

I opened up my center console and i found the wires for the phone cradle, Does this mean that i can get a phone kit cradle for the X5.

if you get the phone cradle, you probably need the TCU unit in the back, as well. X5's (if I'm not mistaken) are prewired for a phone install, but you need the control unit / antenna unit in the back, plus the cradle up front. You might want to look into doing a bluetooth retrofit, since that already comes with the control unit and everything you need

The Bluetooth retrofit is a 30 minute install. If I can do it, anybody else can. Check out this link for instructions and scroll down to see how the cradle can be very easily removed.
