It is probably the socket. It happened to me on each side one after the other. I removed the bulb, clean/sand the socket and have had no problem since. That was 18months ago.

After a few cleaning sanding attempts at this my sockets have finally failed.They work till I go over a few bumps!

Before you buy a new socket, you should check the connections to all the lights on that side. I had the same problem with my fogs, and it turned out to be just a simple wire that needed to be pushed back in.
