Hey ive been doin some researching and finally came across this,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MTEC-...QQcmdZViewItem what you guys think? im worried about having the check headlights thing goin off, even though this product says that wont happen, im still skeptical, its hard to sort through the bs on ebay. and to do the foglight h11 HID conversion, anyone know any good sites? thanks for your help and merry christmas oh yea, and what do you think looks better, 6000k or 8000k? i know 8000 is gonna have the blue but if im payin 300$ to get HIDs i want people to know theyre there, not just think theyre super bright white headlights

I believe you have to get the BMW X5 Xenon headlights.

i wouldnt spend the extra for this kit just because the indicator light does not turn on. you can follow the instructions on the main page to make some adaptors or if it does not bother you just leave it.
I have seen some kits go for as cheap as 220... which if you think about it.. if it breaks you can just get another set.. a few years back when aftermarket HIDs just started to come out i got a set of philips hids. Still have not had any problems.. 5 years later... i am not too familiar with the new aftermarket stuff but always have heard good things about philips |

you can get some cheap ones and see if it would last long or stick to a known brand like philips, osram etc.....but either way, u will still get the error message. so you'll need to compensate for the bulb resistance.
there are few ways to skin a cat, i went and bought a reasonably cheap xenon kit (approx $200 AUD), ran a feed supply from battery to relays which switches the xenons. i had to fool the system by wiring in a resistor each side - 50Watts (which is fairly big!), had the xenons for almost a year now. no probs yet (touch wood ) i still regret not ticking the xenon option when i purchased the car. oh well ![]() i think u should stick to 6000K. youll be surprised how blue they are

btw the way the light paterns are lined up will be differnt from factory xeons since the projectors are not made for xeon light paterns

You can purchase our ProLumen HID kits for your headlights or fogs for $275 shipped. They come with a full lifetime warranty, 100% plug and play and include everything you need for the complete install.
Remember, whether you retrofit OEM xenons or aftermarket xenons into your headlights, you will need to install resistors or get the ECU flashed for xenons to prevent the bulb out warning.

You also only lose about 5% light output for 200 lumens when going to a 6000k from 4300k. Still a VAST improvement over halogens.
