Warrantydirect - First Post-Warranty Claim

Had to drop off the X yesterday for an inspection and couple of minor glitches (window regulator, lock actuator) that developed since the factory warranty expired on 6/06. In lieu of the factory 4/50k warranty - I purchased an additional 5/50k warranty from warrantydirect (WD) for $2k.

During my visit yesterday, the dealer (Hassell BMW, NY) simply took a copy of my contract for their records and told me an estimate will need to be approved by WD before any work can start. If nothing is found wrong, I would be responsible for $110 diagnostic fee. 5 hrs later I recieved a call WD approved the fixes and the car will be ready before EOD. All the charges were paid for directly by WD - no paperwork, no phonecalls, nothing.

In all, my bill was for $37 (NYS Inspection fee) and I was given a new 335 coupe for the day as a loaner.

Not too shabby.....WD two thumbs up!

I had a similar first experience with WD. Only downside for me was that they only covered $100 per hour of labor, and my dealer charges like $130. I also used their Roadside service once to fix a flat. I like them

You got a flat tire? Did the X sit that long in the garage without you driving it?

Do they have anything for past the 100k mark? Other than a new vehicle!

Thanks!

I too, have WD's coverage:
Secure Level, with emissions opt.

Don't have Nav,Bluetooth,TVs,gizmos, etc.
and no roadside coverage.

Have not had to use it yet, but the anecdotal
reports here, are good.
