hjno72 is on a distinguished road
I bought a 2007 X5 E70 four weeks ago from BMW second hand. I am having problems with battery drainage every 5 days or so. Just took a long drive (500kms) appears that the problems have disappeared, but I am still taking it back to the shop for a fix.

Symptoms of battery drain on the E70 is:
- Clock gets reset with message on console about battery drain
- Radio/CD always starts mute
- "Follow me home lights" do not work
- Have to start the vehicle to operate the radio
