Removing door actuator

I'm in the process of replacing my front door actuator. Got the door panel off but I'm having a problem disconnecting the cable that goes from the door handle to the actuator. There's a ball socket that needs to come off and it's hard to get to. I've tried some pliers on it but it slips off. Any ideas please.

BTW...I have the manual it all it says it has to come off...doesn't tell you how.

Fixed. Dealer wanted $500 to replace the actuator. I got one on ebay for $25. 3 hours of my time and voila.

any tips on changing it, i have to do my passenger side sometime, i have the part but haven't done it yet ;p
