Was your sensors seated properly? Electrical issues?

It could have been pulled a little and is disconnected. Either at the plug or the wires are coming out of the back are broken, seen that b4 You can also make a little jumper wire to test if the sensor is bad. Know what your doing if you try that.

Sometimes the systems just freaks out. The old unplug the battery for 15 mins trick might reset it. No first hand experience with that on a brake sensor however.

I have the same issue. I have plenty of meat and the sensors are not making contact with metal. It comes on occationally, sometimes it flickers on then off. I thought maybe the brake fluid is low or something. Is the only connection for the sensors the one in the wheelwells? I haven't checked for a loose connection yet, but is that the only spot?

Yes the connection in the front is in that little box on the left and as I recall the rear is on the control arm (right side).

I have been in BMW parts for 18 years (Shhhhh I want to keep that low key), and under the hoods of BMW's since about 1992 (shade tree stuff in my garage). I also was very into NASA club events and spend many years building and maintaining my cars. Being the only one with a decent tool set and garage space to work on cars I have had countless projects move in and out of my garage.

That’s The Cleaners short story. I’ll post a couple picts of my old track car since you got me thinking about it. Now I miss it.
