Rattle gone with seat down

I have been chasing a rattle for weeks and I figured out that when the rear passenger side seat is down the rattle is gone. For the life of me I can't figure out why. I have spent hours raising, lowering, pounding, spraying WD40 and I can't find the rattle when the seat is up. Any ideas???? Thanks

It might be the center seat belt retraction/lock mechanism. I'm not sure if there is anything you can do about it though. Try buckling up the center seat belt and yank hard/quick on it until it locks. Drive around with it that way to see if the rattle is still there.

It can also be the center arm rest. To verify, try lowering the center armrest, the noise should go away.

Rattle gone with seat down

I just found my rattle - the rear seat cushion was not properly fastened down.
