BMW Extended Warranty and Maintenance - Good deal?

Also, I bought from them (ABOVE Dealer is the MaconBMW) and Josh did it over the phone and it took like 5 mins and I have both plans, he faxed the reciepts and in a couple of days I recieved my papers in the mail.

I need to get the extended warranty and maintenance as well. I'm at 46k miles right now and it'll be 4 years in May. I was gonna wait until April or so, but if the prices are going up, I guess I should try and jump on it now.

Just called Josh and he said he might not be able to do it now because he has to use the key reader. He took my number and said he'll call me back.

I just turned 40K and my factory warranty runs out next month. I'm CPO'd after that. My dealer quoted me today $1495 for a Maintenance Warranty which seems high.

Between the CPO & Maintenance Warranty, I should be covered for most items up to 6yrs/100k.

So it sounds like the maitenance warranty is a no brainer. Any concensus on the mechanical warranty and whether or not it is worth it. Are there very many inherant problems with the 2004 X5 4.4is?
