Things to replace for safe road-trips
Car has a lot of miles so I am worried that something might go wrong on the trip down there. I currently have 95,000 miles on it. This weekend I am going to replace to radiator hoses. What else should I change? |

I'd change belt and hoses and check brakes, fluids, tire pressure, air filter... check spare tire and jack... could go on. 95k miles is not a lot IMO, provided it has been cared for. Are there any signs of trouble like running warm, leaks anywhere, smoke, oil around the engine? There was mention of the water pump problem above 70k miles a while back but that may have been for the v8's. Maybe someone will chime in about that.

I'm sure you've replaced the battery by now, if not you are definitely due.
