X5 Running Temp
Should it be about in the middle? I never noticed how cold my X5 ran untill i went up to oregon two weeks ago and the gauge never got out of the Blue Zone. The daytime temp was around 26. I could drive it for an hour and it never warmed up. I think i need to replace the thermostate, but would like some feedback from other X5 owners to see if their X5 runs about in the middle of the gauge in normal and cold weather. Thanks in advance! ![]() The thermostate was stuck open. I replaced the water pump, thermostate , hoses and belt. Problem solved and the heater works when its cold! Like you said, sounds like a faulty thermostat.
Needle should point straight up in middle of gauge when warm - ~5 mins of driving depending on outside temp. |
