Cool Tire Size

I would like to replace my original 235-65-17 on my 3.0 x5 (no sport package) with wider tires....

Has anyone used 255-60-17 size tires? According to the chart it's about an inch wider and had the same 6'' side wall

Thanks,
Allen

Hey Allen, welcome to X5 World.
Since you have a 2003 model year X5, this should be posted under "E53" (E53 is BMW's designation for 2000-2006 X5s) This forum is for the 2nd generation X5, the 2007 E70.
I'm sure one of the moderators will be more than happy to move your post.

Sincerely,
T

:xoutpost:

if you're going to get aftermarket wheels, try getting 18s, 19s, or 20s.

255/60-17s fit,

try this thread http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...ly-modded.html

you are gonna have a problem with correct speed if you go down. It's better to go with 18' and 255 all around
