Chrome or Aluminum Gauge Rings?

Hi everyone - ok, time for my first mod (little nervous). I know a lot of you have done this mod so my question is did you go with the chrome or the aluminum set? ebay has both however the aluminum set is from the UK and a little more expensive. It is hard to see from the ebay pictures which are the better looking, higher quality set.

Thanks for your help.

Beth

just from my experience...

if i were you, i would get the rounded edge shiny rings that automatically snaps on the cluster.

i first bought these and they didn't work...plus seller didn't send any adhesive to make it stick. i had to dremel sand it because the pins would stick at the bottom of the rings until it fits and glued it.

DON'T GET THESE:

the aluminum ones match the aluminum trim on the doors better, but the ones i've seen are very thick and seems out-of-proportion

the chrome ones are what i have and they are elegant and classy, and they reflect the amber lights...which puts another dimension on the gauge. and they easily snap on...more or less.

Upon presenting her ticket to California, She asked if the agent would be kind enough to transport her green suitcase to Hawaii and her blue luggage to London. This got the representative really baffled, and so the representative said, "oh I'm sorry, but we can't do that!" The college girl cried out, "That is so great! Because last year, that's what you did to my suitcase!"
uh-oh...not again...

Thanks for the help - Ok goin' with the chrome. Next question - are the ones at Bimmian and Autowerks better than the ones on ebay or are they the same? These say "chrome" and "snap in fit".

This one just says "no gluing or cutting"

I'm sorry if I am being a freak about this - I just want the best for my X-Child

i think many of us buy it off of ebay from barvarian motor werks...

they are great quality and made from real aluminum and fit perfectly...ever so slightly large than the gauge cutout, so they will fit in very snug and will not rattle

i think this is what i bought
