Where do I find a replacement amp for my radio?
Hi, 2002 X5, 3.0, non-nav, DSP
I think mine was fried due to water getting in the back (where, who knows, but from what I have read on here, it seems to be a common problem). I have no idea what else it would be since the radio turns on, the display comes on, but NO SOUND. I heard a crackling in the speakers just prior to complete sound death. Anyone know where the best place to either get it fixed or replace it without going through the dealer? Or does anyone think it could be something else? I am trying to get the P/N from the dealer but plan to pull it and confirm. Can a novice pull the amp and check it with ease? The stealer wants $165 just to remove and reinstall Solution? Many thanks, X5 in 10,000 lakes Last edited by ouchjimmy; 02-01-2007 at 03:07 PM. Reason: data error |
