So I was Backing into my Garage last night...

and at the precise moment before the garage-door sensors "realized" the car was going through.... The ###!!""! door gets a mind of it's own and decides to do the French Guillotine trick (again; 2nd timer !!); just as I hear the gory sound of scrappy-door-hitting-pristine-X5-Surface-hard-with-a-passion... (!!!) I immediately go back out....

..... only this time the lip of the rear spoiler (on top of the rear hatch, that covers the 3rd brake light) gets clawed by the garage door and...

....CRACK, BOP, BUUM, SCRRATCH, DING DING !!!!

a second later my X5 hatch was "top-less" and the Rear spoiler was lying on the driveway....... ARGGRGGARGHHHHHHH !!!!!!

It actually ripped the spoiler clean off from it's 5 mounting points; fiberglass ripped clean off...

I WISH I was one of those Folks who just DIDN'T GIVE A HOOT about stuff like this happening to their cars; for those of you out like that out there; I ENVY you !!! I Suffer like HELLLLLLLLLLL from these silly happenings... My wife wil NEVER comprehend.

After a sleepless night I drove first thing in the morning to my local paint&repair shop; Spoiler's being resprayed today; tomorrow I leave the Baby for a surgical re-implant. I'll post pics of the damage and hopefully of a satisfactory reconstruction.
