What do you mean? You have a BMW with Homelink and just need to program it?

You have to remove the blanking plate in the overhead unit (where the sunroof switch is and the lights).. If I remember rightly, you have to unscrew a couple of screws to get the unit off the roof, then insert the homelink from behind, connect one wire which you should have got with the homelink, then re assemble the overhead console.. Now program the homelink.

Homelink for Sept 2003 X5 3.0i Sport

I am thinking of putting homelink in to work my garage door, I have seen this link on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...spagenameZWD2V

But I am not sure what the correct part number would be. Speaking to the local stealer they say for retrofit I need a new mirror that has homelink on it. But I prefer the overhead fitting this offers.

My question is does anyone know the correct part no I need, and will the cables be in the overhead console already?

cheers
Andrew
