Ipod kit

I was just told by my service department that the ipod kit will not work in my car (05 4.8is) because it already has Sirius and cd changer. Is this true, and if so are there any ways around this?

You might want to look at getting a Dice Ipod integration kit. However with these, you will not be able to use your cd changer.

We have a specific kit for Sirius-equipped vehicles:

DICE iPod Integration Kit for BMW with Sirius

this will simply plug into the receiver under the spare tire and get you set up!

Absolutely. The CD Changer is replaced, but you retain in-dash CD capabilities.
