Sprint Pocket PC / X5 Bluetooth Integration?
Has anyone successfully integrated a pocket PC device with their X5 and have phone book transfers etc? Or should I just get a Treo 650 and call it a day? Thanks.

Don't get any Microsoft based bluetooth device as they use there own bluetooth stack as opposed the Industry standard Widcomm stack. This is what causes the OBEX file tranfer (phonebook transfer) to fail.

I had a Sprint 6700
It did not pair well with the BMW.
No phone back transfer but limited phone link. Problem was that it drop the link in the middle of the call. For a PDA phone the Sprint (only Sprint) Treo 650 is your only option at this time. I am waiting for the Treo 700 but not sure if it will work? |

officially it's not supported. I couldn't get it to work. Talked to the dealers around also. The problem also is even if you are BT enabled, BMW BT only supports 1 BT connection so even if you can transfer the phone book, you still can't dial without a phone.

Good info! Thanks everyone. I guess I'll skip the PPC and go for the Treo.
Also... I've heard from some people that the phone only VR module comes with the Assist/Bluetooth module and that you only need to add another VR module for NAV... and I have heard that the phone only VR module doesn't actually come with the car. Anyone know which is true and if it is not already in the car how much the phone only VR module is? (I don't have NAV)
