Cost for valve cover change???

Hello everyone, does anyone know how much it costs with labor to have the valve covers changed on an X5 4.4i.... 2001... Thanks...

have you considered trying it yourself? the valve covers on the v8 x5s are pretty easy to get to.

BimmerDude, the valve cover is a simple repair, but working in this 0 deg weather sucks unless you've got a heated garage (ask me how I know). How much labor are they charging you?

If you decide not to do it yourself, it's simple enough that a trusted mechanic should be able to handle no problem.

My mechanic charges me 80 bucks an hr. and BMW charges 125 an hr...
