Item 24 in the STEREO section on the home page describes how to remove the radio unit. I'm not sure why you want to remove the dash too

When I was trying to run my Valentine One/Stealth One wiring behind the dash, I could understand wanting to remove the whole damned thing!
Having some sort of "fish tape" to put into the radio hole and out to the footwell makes life much easier. I used an old worn-out retractable tape measure. I cut the metal hook off the end so it wouldn't get hung up on anything. When it was protruding into the footwell, I taped my wire to the end of the metal tape, and carefully pulled back through the hole in the dash. Was actually much easier to do than describe.

It's a latch. Seems to work quite well too.
