Michelle, I didn't know this qualified as a mod but i have had the same one since i bought the X. Mine is the same as yours and of course it has worked out well preserving the floor.

The sliding the box question is a good one. I sprayed tire dressing on mine and it worked too well. So don't do that unless you really want things moving around back there.

Barry....if hanging a visor from my rear view mirror counted as a mod, this certainly does!

Looks good! Interesting, although I never counted my car mats as a mod.
Be careful of those snow brushes from Sam's club, as some of them are too harsh for X5's paint. I use the Oxo sno brush and its very soft on paint.
