New X5 4.4 Mod Assistance needed.
Okay got a question for you guys/gals. Just traded my 2003 X5 3.0 SAV for another 2003 X5 4.4 SAV. Sorry if some of you think I am a nut but I couldn't live with the 225 hp and low torque of the 3.0 (I came from driving a 2002 M3 as my everyday driver to the X5--needed the space for the family). Anyway after research I found that the only options available for my poor 3.0 were either to add about $3500 worth of Dinan parts to get an 10hp gain at most OR add a ESS supercharger at $6000k just parts. So the $5K additional cost of the trade/upgrade was reasonable since I was going to pay it anyway to add not only HP but aftermarket NAV to my 3.0 X5 anyway if I kept it.
By the way I did consider the new 2007 X5 but they want WAAAY too much for the 4.8is in my area ($72k upwards..I can get a Cayenne S with almost 400hp for that equally as loaded) and the 2007 3.0is scared me off with just a 25hp gain over the old model. (didn't want to be where I just was in that power-loss department). Anyway I need help with these planned MODs/upgrades.
