Pretty easy $250-400 labor savings if/when this thing fails. You will need to have the SRS code read and the warning light reset which does require a special tool that is available from Peake Research for $119. My indepenadant would do the read but would not reset claiming legal liability issues since they didn't do the repair - makes sense I guess. I had purchased the tool since I needed it for the same repair on my M3. I plan to keep it, but could sell it pretty easily on ebay and get most of the cost recovered.

Nice work ThrasherFan! You can post pics by first loading them onto your PC, then do a new post to this thread and scroll to the bottom of the screen to the "Additional Options" section. Click on the "Manage Attachments" button and select the directory & photos you'd like to post. Thanks for posting the info - I'm sure this will come in handy for me and others in the future.
