changing the radio from a traditional radio to a 16:9 screen radio

does anyone know if that is possible or are the plugs in the back different??

Check out the posts of one of our members "SUDESH" he did install a 16:9 monitor but bought a bezel to make it look OEM. Check out his posts.

To do this you need either a nav drive or a BMW video module to drive the system (they both have the "brains" to make the system function), and it is not plug-n-play compatible. You will need to run a new wiring harness, and will need quite a few components. See http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/all-...system-x5.html for an example of what is involved.
