Cpo????

So.... I picked up my x5 off of ebay in December. It was stated that the x5 had CPO coverage. I took it in yesterday for service (still under factory warrent) and I asked about the CPO. They said it does not show as covered under the CPO warrenty.

Anyway after looking at my paperwork that I recieved with the car it has a Statement of Certificiation of Certified Pre-Owned BMW vehicle program. It is stamped and signed by the dealer.. and my VIN number is on it as well.

On the back is says with a signature / stamp on this statement the dealer certifies that this vehicle has been properly enrolled in the Certified Pre-Owned BMW vehicle program..

Did I somehow get screwed out of the CPO coverage / warrenty??

Call BMW NA and they can run your VIN to see if the car was CPO'd - any dealership should be able to do this also.

I was told you have to provide your CPO card when in for service.

I found out that mine was under CPO after I looked at the invoice the first time I took it into the dealer. So kind of odd that that your dealer says no, little different experince I guess.

Maybe it doens't show it under CPO warranty since it is still under factory warranty? I don't know, Call BMW NA and ask would be your best bet.

Ok.. I hate it when people do not write conclusions on their posts.. So my SA called the dealer that CPO's the x5. Turns out it is legit (thank god) and they should be entering it into the system today.. It seemed to easy.. Maybe I should call them back and say I also should have the maint plan too
