I have an 01 3.0 X5, and the rear wiper gives me trouble lately. It does not move smoothly as it is used to be. It moves like a robot type movement and sometimes it gets stuck in the middle of the window. I think it has something to do with the mechanism of the arm but not sure. I don't want to remove the whole thing blindly without any idea of what to do or fix. Any ideas anyone?
PS: I have not changed the blade yet. Been searching on this site of what to do. Will have to replace the arm, the cover and the blade. the dealer wants the arm and the cover for $60, the blade ( 418B) is at AutoZone for $18
