Help updating firmware on my icelink plus

I have version 2.05 installed and have the newer 2b3 I want to Install. I have read somewhere that the jump from earlier versions may cause problems, can anyone confirm this?

Tom doesnt sell the product anymore and Dension are pants at replying to emails.

Any help would be much appreciated.
