Question on installing my 4.6 front spoiler

I just got my 4.6 front spoiler from Morristown BMW. I noticed that there are quite afew tabs that are suppose to slide into slots on the front of the front bumper. I have a 4.4 front bumper with no slots. Do you guys think it would be alright to cut some, no all, of them off. It seems like it would be HELL to get everything aligned. One cut to high and it will be seen for sure. Also what is the best glue to use to hold it securely?
