Navigational system in non nav bmw?

I am wondering if anyone has or can do this mod? Take a non nav X5 and have a third party nav system put in?

Rico.

Yes, it can be done. First you have to buy the bezel...then go get either the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 or the not out yet Pioneer AVIC-D3. Then just take it to a local trustworthy installer and poof, you will have a better Nav than everyone who has done the retrofit.

The bezel can be purchased pretty easy. It is about $250. Do a search for it on this site and you should find the website.
