My '05 is in the shop right now, to replace the driver's seat. I had the heated seat on, and noticed that it was much hotter than normal. When I got out of the X, there was a 1/4" hole in the leather. The heater element had burned a hole in the seat.

I wonder if I had kept on driving, if it would have caught me on fire, then the X? Scary.

My '05 was produced in August of 2004. Got it back today, with a new lower seat cushion, new heat element, & new leather cover. Good as new.
