Uh...suddenly my driver's side rear view mirror has about 45 degrees of play. When I drive, it (mirror and plastic housing) oscillates between normal and a close-up reflection or the door! Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this problem, and why it happened in the first place? Keep in mind I'm not normally a do-it-yourselfer. It's still under warranty, but it's Sunday and I hope to fix the problem today.
There's no apparent external damage, and the mirror housing retracts and opens normally with a press of the button. Thanks for your help! 2004 x5 4.4i Sport and Comfort Packages 19" rims Grey/Black Last edited by x5mdrocks; 03-04-2007 at 02:47 PM. |

Had the same thing happen to me. Dealer changed the whole mirror under warrenty. Also had a brand new 328xi as a loaner so it was not a bad deal.
