all 4.4i 's have self leveling?

Hi guys

About ti get H and R installed on my 2002 4.4, do all 4.4's have self leveling so therefore I need to take to stealer to have lowered?

or what is the order of operations?

1) Get springs installed at aftermarket place
2) then take truck to stealer to have lowered?

thanks in advance

H&R lowering springs come with the shorter endlinks. Just have the front springs installed and have the shorter endlinks installed, thats it. Unless you don't have rear air suspension. Then you either need to install both front and rear springs (for non air suspenion) or have the dealer lower the front and rear Via the DIS (front and rear air suspenion).

Thanks for the reply silver, but how do I determine if I have rear air suspension?

You can look behind your rear tires to see if you have springs or rubber shocks. Or just lift the rear cargo floor and see if there is a round metal tank mounted over your battery. Thats the air holding tank.

Pretty much every 4.4i has self leveling only at the rear wheels. The only way it wouldn't have is if someone ordered the car this way. Which I think BMW wouldn't do, but either way you have air suspension for sure. Now as to the upgrade part, I have no idea... sorry...

Yes it does!!!, I have a 4.4 sport and it has it. Why do you (tbal69) think it doesn't? I mean do some research, and see for yourself. Ask anybody that has some info on BMW, they will tell you the samething...
