JV is on a distinguished road
Thanks for that heads up, Dennis. Why did you install v23 instead of v24.1?

I still face the problem with getting the CD out of the Nav, it still won't eject. On top of that, the radio/CD player will turn off after being on for about 2-3mins now. Today it turned off right in the middle of a traffic report, I missed the info and it took me twice as long to get to work!

Anyone ever taken apart a MkIII Nav before?

JV

First, I recommend that you don't try taking the drive unit apart before you attempt some of the tricks to remove the CD that you'll see on the bmwnav group on Yahoo!

As for installing V23 vs. V24.1, on the MkIII's there is no difference. For MkIII's, installing anything that is V22 or higher will take your drive to the latest OS version, which is 3-1/63.

The updates from V22 through V24.1 have all been specifically for the MkIV drives.
