4.4 Whistle On Idle

there now seems to be a slight whistling noise from one of the pullies or tensioners, i know there is quite a few and it could be any one but is there a common pully that goes?

I have the same whistling sound when I put my car in park. I can only hear it after I've driven it, not when I first start it, or when it warms up. It has to be driven a little and then when pulling in my garage I hear it once its in park. I would love to know what this might be. If its something going bad I'd rather know now before my warranty goes out... Thanks...

That's for a 3.0 not a 4.4i... I've heard from other people that the noise is part of the engine. Also the post you should me, it stats that the car even when driving you can hear it. Not my case. I think its normal, but will take to my mechanic and double check the air boot and all intake hoses... Thanks for your help...

It may just be time for new belts. Take a look at them. If they are cracked at all change them.

Don't mean to dredge

Sorry to dredge up this old post but was this resolved, like 10 years ago, haha. I have the same issue. I don't see anything in the forum about it. I guess it's time to sleuth.
