There are three different categories:

1. Old (> 7 years)
2. Used (3-7 years)
3. New (< 3 year)

Category # 2 is the cheapest one. So your X goes under category # 2.
Here are rates for category # 2 depending on engine size (in cubic cm):

0,85 Euro/1 cm3, if less than 1000 cm3
1 Euro /1 cm3, if more than 1000 cm3, but less than 1500 cm3
1,5 Euro /1 cm3, if more than 1500 cm3, but less than 1800 cm3
1,75 Euro /1 cm3, if more than 1800 cm3, but less than 2300 cm3
2 Euro /1 cm3, if more than 2300 cm3, but less than 3000 cm3
2,25 Euro /1 cm3 if over 3000 cm3

So 4799 cm3 x 2.25 = 10798 Euro + 210 (documents transfer fee) = 11008 Euros or 14376 USD (-/+ $100).

Ooopss sorry you're actually in third category, so total fees: $34840 (48% of Value, but not less than 5.5 Euro/cm3)

Found this here: http://www.waytorussia.net/

If a car is newer than 3 years old, than you have to pay 48% of original cost of the car. (import duty)

On my first trip to Russia I was shocked by how beautiful Moscow is and how much wealth is concentrated there. There is nothing like standing in the middle of Red Square and just taking in the sights.

I also have spent a lot of time in the interior parts of Russia and was also shocked at how little "wealth" was there. I went to a local zoo and I was literally the only person in the zoo. I asked why and they just told me that no one could afford to come there... You just feel sorry for the people and the country, but there is hope and you can see it in the people.

There were a ton of imported cars, especially BMW's and Mercedes. One thing is for sure -- I would NEVER want to drive a car there...

Hahaha, yeah driving in Russia is insane professional race competition. Every time I go back it takes me about a week to get use to driving style, when I get back to USA people start flashing or beeping to me when try to drive like in Russia, so I have to adapt back.... I've been driving all over the world, and I've got to tell you driving in Russia, especially in Moscow requires lots of skills and nerves.

Anyway, it's getting better and better in Russia, big changes, more wealth, more high-end cars, more fun and as always most beautiful womens on the Planet!

I agree. Our women are the most beautiful women in the world. After spending 8 years in US and then moving back I am so much more appreciative for our women after "American nightmare".

I also agree regarding Russian Women. I work between Moscow, Nyagan and Nizhnevartosk, but live in sunny Australia!! In Moscow the number of high class European cars is intense, it shows the money that is available there now....especially if there is a 48% import tax on new cars.
