Feel any difference in power/acceleration moving up to 20" on your 3.0i?

Of course, much greater unspring weight and greater rolling resistance.

When I moved from the stock 17x8 with 235/45 on my 540i to 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 with 245/40 and 265/35, I noticed a DECREASE in acceleration on the highway.

Not even the Cayenne Turbo uses a 315 in the rear. Even the Turbo S with 520HP has a 275 rear tire (albeit with a wider wheel in the rear). the 315 on ANY X5 is just for looks. Very nice looks, I will admit though.

Handling is widely improved with the 315 as well.

Really? Our 3.0i Sport with Yoko Geolandar HTS G052 in the stock size of 255/55 doesn't have any oversteer charactersitics. It's not like the back end steps out or anything under hard cornering (even under braking). I guess with a huge rear anti-roll bar the rear might want to swap ends, but I still don't see how a huge rear tire helps in the handling department either.

Thanks! Btw, I didn't feel much of a difference in power/ acceleration if any. Surprising thing is it feels smoother and the steering feels a bit softer compared to my 18" Style 69s.
